In the daytime I’m a community guy for the Disqus commenting platform, and it’s working on computers all day that fuels my desire to work with my hands and in nature. This blog is dedicated to my journey to uncover the myths, facts, and delight that seafood has as I learn gather, and cook it. I’m not an expert in any of these things, but hope that people with an interest are inspired to take the same path.

I come from an upbringing where fish have no heads and swim around in neat filets before being scooped up and brought over to the local supermaket. The convenience of food today has allowed an entire generation to forget how it’s done, and mainstream society is only now taking an interest again. For myself it means struggling to learn how to fish, what to gather and how to cook things there is little guidance for. Since I enjoy all food, I’ll occasionally write about other delicious things as well!
